Dear PTA Leaders,

It is our pleasure to invite you and members of your PTA to join the New York State Board of Managers at our 2009 Summer Leadership Conference from July 31-August 2, 2009 at Utica College. Every year the workshop selections, program and new components make this event a unique and energizing start to everyone’s PTA year.

Utica College has been a casual, relaxing and scenic environment in which to network with other PTA members and to further develop leadership skills. Past attendees have found the information interesting and useful and the networking and sharing of ideas motivational and supportive. We know that there are fun activities being planned as well!

NYS PTA wants to provide you with the tools and skills you need to be strong and confident leaders. This is also a great opportunity to build a better and more diverse PTA by ensuring participation from among your members. Our events should not only be offered to officers or board members but to all members interested in developing their leadership skills. Training is a legitimate PTA expense and a well run PTA can serve the children most effectively.

Take a look at the workshop offerings, share the information widely, register and attend a wonderfully planned conference and enjoy meeting other PTA leaders.

Dear WEPR Board Members:

As I finish my third year as region director, I want to thank each and all of you for the unflagging energy, patient support, and true dedication you have given to children and schools, to WEP Region PTA , and to me personally over these past few years. Though we may not have achieved everything we strove to do, together we can count many accomplishments that have benefitted our membership and the region as a whole. I salute each of you for your part in these efforts, and thank you sincerely for three rewarding, memorable years.
